Split an email list into batches

Need to send in waves, stay under an import limit or share a list between people? Choose a batch size and get your list cut into neat pieces you can copy or download one at a time.

Runs entirely in your browser. Your list is never uploaded.

When splitting a list helps

  • Sending limits. Personal email accounts cap how many people you can email each day. Splitting lets you send in waves instead of getting blocked halfway through.
  • Import limits. Some tools and CRMs only accept a certain number of rows per upload.
  • Testing. Send to a small first batch, check for bounces and replies, then send the rest.
  • Sharing the work. Give each person on your team their own batch to call or email.

How the batches are made

The tool keeps your list in its original order and fills each batch before starting the next, so batch 1 holds the first addresses and the last batch holds whatever is left over. Spreadsheets are split by whole rows, and each batch file gets its own header row so it imports cleanly. The "Download all" CSV adds a batch number to every row, which is handy if you want to keep everything in one spreadsheet.

Before you send to a big list in batches, read our guide on splitting a list and sending limits: for large lists, an email marketing service is usually a better choice than a personal inbox.

Frequently asked questions

What batch size should I use?

It depends on why you're splitting. For sending from a personal inbox, stay well under your provider's daily limit. For imports, use the limit your tool states.

Can I split a CSV with names and other columns?

Yes. Paste or open the spreadsheet and each batch keeps every column, with the header row repeated at the top of every batch file.

Are duplicates removed?

Yes, if "Remove duplicates first" is checked, so the same person never lands in two batches.
